Attempted arson investigation witness appeal for incident in Ansley Road, Nuneaton

Police are appealing for witnesses after an incident at a house in Ansley Road, Nuneaton.

Police were called yesterday at 9.48pm to a report that someone had tried to set fire to a house.

Two cars were also damaged at the address.

Detective Inspector Paul Thompson from Nuneaton CID said: "This is an extremely concerning incident that could have been a lot more serious.

"We are treating the incident as attempted arson and are appealing for witnesses. If you were in the area around the time of the incident and saw anything suspicious, officers are keen to speak to you."

Anyone with information should call police on 101, quoting incident 433 of 28 August 2019, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
